In both June and July 2026, Green VI hosted a pop-up stall at Little Dix Bay's monthly Farmers Market on Virgin Gorda. The theme of the pop-up was PROMAR, educating community members and visitors about the issues of marine plastic pollution and some of the solutions that can be found right here in the BVI.

One game had participants matching plastic items with the timeframe it takes for each to break down in the environment. Another challenged visitors to guess the number of bottle caps in a jar, all of which had been collected at PROMAR beach clean ups. The stall also showcased sustainable and reusable swaps to single-use plastic items, including reusable straws, drink bottles and cutlery sets. Also on display was "polywood", a locally made plastic wood that highlights a circular economy solution to plastic waste.

In total, 71 community members were engaged across these events, learning about PROMAR and the practical steps they could take to help reduce plastic pollution in the BVI.

These pop-up events reflect Green VI's ongoing commitment to making marine litter prevention accessible and engaging for communities across the British Virgin Islands. By combining interactive games, hands-on demonstrations and real examples of circular economy solutions, the PROMAR stall at Little Dix Bay continues to build awareness and inspire action, helping residents and visitors alike understand the vital role they play in protecting the BVI's marine environment for the future.
