National Recycling Competition Ceremony – November 24, 2025 πŸŽ‰
We proudly celebrated the National Recycling Competition Awards Ceremony! β™»οΈπŸ’š
This year, around 55 schools participated — 17 schools from St. Kitts and 38 schools from Nevis — showing incredible teamwork and commitment toward a cleaner and greener Federation. 🌍✨
Between September 16 and October 31, students collected an impressive 18,872.76 lbs of plastic bottles, metal cans, and aluminum cans. What a remarkable achievement! πŸ’ͺπŸ₯€πŸ₯«

🌊 Educational Storytelling – Learning Through Stories
During the ceremony, we introduced a special storytelling segment to help students and teachers understand:
• the impact of marine pollution,
• the importance of recycling,
• and how recyclables can be transformed into useful products such as recycled shirts and tote bags.
We believe learning the story behind recycling helps build lifelong environmental awareness. πŸŒ±πŸ“˜

πŸ‘• Turning Waste Into Value – 5,500 Recycled Polo Shirts and 1,500 Recycled Bags
From collected plastic bottles, we produced 5,500 recycled polo shirts.
During the ceremony, 3,600 shirts were donated to contributing schools across St. Kitts and Nevis to appreciate both teachers and students.
The remaining shirts will be used as rewards for future recycling promotion activities — continuing to motivate our young environmental champions! πŸ’šβ™»οΈ
