BlueBox Training - Training of Trainers
Text (optional)
The objective of this Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on marine plastic pollution is to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and resources necessary to effectively train others on the topic. Key objectives of the ToT workshop include understanding the problem of untreated waste, primarily plastics, polluting water bodies and oceans, and recognizing the many negative economic, social, ecological and health consequences of this waste. With this course, participants can become familiar with the general concept of “Circular Economy” and learn how to apply the BlueBox and its tools to undertake holistic local actions against plastic pollution, including problem mapping, stakeholder engagement, action implementation, evaluation and dissemination. In an interactive process, participants may learn how to carry out specific actions described in the tools, including conducting beach data sampling, conducting stakeholder analysis, and understanding prevention and management tools such as river interceptors. As well as the ability to pass on the knowledge acquired.
